Life of G. Kavukatt
Born on 4 march 1950, at Kadanad, palai diocese
His parents were Joseph and Mary, and was baptised by Rev Fr Thomas Paremmakkal
Studied at St George Primary School, Geovalley Pala and Secondary St Augustine's school Kadnad.
Passed SSLC in 1968.
Joined St Joseph’s Mission home in 1968.
Joined MST in 1969. Studied at Good Shephered minor seminary Pala
Philosophy and theology at St Thomas Apostolic seminary, Vadavathoor.
Regency at Barnagar and Nagda in Ujjain Diocese.
Was Ordined priest on 1st March, 1978.
Soon after his ordination in 1978 he served as the Vocation Director of MST. Moved to Ujjain in 1978 August and served as procurator and spiritual father at Vikas Maithri Kotra
He started Mana mission in Ujjain in 1979.
Appointed as the leader for the pastoral work in Pune for Syro Malabar church under the guidance of Bp Valerian De Sousa of Pune in 1984 June.
When Sangli mission was established by the MSTs he was appointed as the dirst Regional Director in 1990 May 1.
From 1993 August he served as the parish priest St Mary’s Church, Nasik for Kalyan Diocese.
The heroic and challenging ministry for the Adivasis at Asangaon, Thane, spanned from 1995 to 2009.
Developing and leading Isidorian and Josephine Spirituality thoroughly from 2009 at Teresa Welfare centre, Oras.
